Felt rubbish the whole weekend so spent it watching sport on the television. Not really the most healthy thing to do but needless to say it was actually quite good fun. Started off with Chelsea v Man U game and it was nice to see that Man U are still good losers. Big Rio in particular lost it and should be pulled up by the FA though this is unlikely to happen since he is one of the golden children in England. Can’t really see what their complaints were since I thought the ref had a good game and got all the major decisions right.
After spending the afternoon watching Soccer Saturday I progressed to watching the NFL draft. Not really sport I guess but I enjoyed watching it anyway. First off the board was Jake Long to Miami but everyone knew that. Followed by Chris Long (Rams), Matt Ryan (Falcons), McFadden (Raiders) and Dorsey (Chiefs) all of this wasn’t much of a shock. Though personally I think that the Raiders have blown it again by taking a player in a position they don’t nee
d and now don’t have enough cap room to get decent players in.
Teams that seemed to have had a good draft are Chiefs, Pats (again) and Redskins though it is hard to tell till you see some of these players on the field. A picture of Devin Thomas the Redskins first pick of teh 2008 draft is on the left.
Sunday was more football, Old Firm game on the radio, Everton game on Sky and then I spent the evening following the draft on ESPN.
Went to the petrol station today after school and it was officially crazy.
