Felt rubbish the whole weekend so spent it watching sport on the television.  Not really the most healthy thing to do but needless to say it was actually quite good fun.  Started off with Chelsea v Man U game and it was nice to see that Man U are still good losers.  Big Rio in particular lost it and should be pulled up by the FA though this is unlikely to happen since he is one of the golden children in England.  Can’t really see what their complaints were since I thought the ref had a good game and got all the major decisions right.

After spending the afternoon watching Soccer Saturday I progressed to watching the NFL draft.  Not really sport I guess but I enjoyed watching it anyway.  First off the board was Jake Long to Miami but everyone knew that.  Followed by Chris Long (Rams), Matt Ryan (Falcons), McFadden (Raiders) and Dorsey (Chiefs) all of this wasn’t much of a shock.  Though personally I think that the Raiders have blown it again by taking a player in a position they don’t neeDevin Thomasd and now don’t have enough cap room to get decent players in.

Teams that seemed to have had a good draft are Chiefs, Pats (again) and Redskins though it is hard to tell till you see some of these players on the field.  A picture of Devin Thomas the Redskins first pick of teh 2008 draft is on the left.

Sunday was more football, Old Firm game on the radio, Everton game on Sky and then I spent the evening following the draft on ESPN.

old petrol pumpWent to the petrol station today after school and it was officially crazy.  The queue was 5 deep at each pump and this might sound like an average day for the city people (country boy here) but for our neck of the woods it is crazy.  The think that upset me more than anything was the price of petrol.  108p for a litre that really is getting crazy though in Gala it is up to 110 and 121 for diesel which is even more worrying.  Needless to say that it was a Shell garage with the silly fuel prices.  It isn’t hard to see why Shell have such high profits.

Talking about companies that have silly profits I had to laugh that the RBS was struggling to raise money.  Is this the same company that have announced silly amount of profits for the last 10 years?  Can’t mind the exact amount they made last year but it certainly was a hell of alot of money.

Anyway rant over and I’m sure Grangemouth will not affect us all that much or rather I hope so since I can’t get the boy wonder to the child minders unless I have the car.  Though this could be a good thing since no child minder means no school!  Go Grangemouth!

I am so happy that it is Friday!  For some reason this week has felt like a lifetime.  Must be the first week back blues, hence the colour of the text.  Though I’m guessing that the fact that I was out last night didn’t help this morning.

The only good think about this term at school is I get to teach the S1 and S2 pupils some cool fun stuff rather than the boring things we have been doing all year.  Mainly I am keen to intorduce them to the Macromedia Suite which includes Firefox and Flash for people that haven’t heard of it before.

Anyway looking forward to the weekend since I don’t have anything planned which is a first for a few weekends.  Hopefully the weather will do me a favour and brighten up a bit but looking out the window I am gussing that there is little chance of that happening!

Anyway I better go off and plan my lessons for next week or next week will seriously stress me out.

This week at school has been pretty miserable with most of the kids either not turning up or not wanting to do anything since it is the last week of term. After a few classes it was beginning to annoy me. Yet today everything was put into perspective when it was announced that they had found the body of a local Primary school Headteacher.  The poor lady was under pressure in various forms and finally after a bad inspection report it looks like she has taken her own life.It is moments like this when you realise that school and other things just aren’t that important anymore.  Tonight I think I’ll go home and give the other half and the boy wonder a big hug since it has been awhile since I’ve done it.Here is the link to the story if anyone is interested.

You know it is going to be a bad day when you feel like you have been up for hours but in fact its only half 9 in the morning.  Today started off ok but took a nose dive when I walked into school.  Nothing like a lovely please take to cheer up your day.

Though after school the day got better again since the boy wonder and myself were left to our own devices since Ma Ma was helping out at the school disco.  Decide the best thing to do would be a nice walk round the town and a quick visit to the swings.  Typically thogh by the time we got to the swings, mister man was fast asleep in his carrier.  You would think it was him doing all the walking and carrying not me.  I remember his big cousin being the exact same!

Hopefully tomorrow and Friday will fly past since I am really looking forward to a nice lie in on Monday!

Welcome to my first blog!

Been thinking that since I am a Computing Studies teacher is was about time that I started a blog since everyone else seems to have one.   The thought of writing a post about my highly exciting life once a day or even a few times a week scares me.  So I have decided that if I have nothing to write about I will let everyone know a little bit more about me.

Anyway I am off to finish off watching the MK Dons versus Chersterfield game on Sky, decent game so far and one nil to MK Dons.
