Big week in the NFL with two outstanding games should help decide the Superbowl teams.  Home field advantage is important, just look at the Panthers.  If they get home field for the playoffs I can see them going all the way.  Pittsburgh is another team that look much better at Heinz Field than they do on the road.

So here are my predictions for the two big games and everything else that is happening this week.

Titans to beat the Steelers – Yes Pittsburgh defence are scary but I think the Titans would like to prove a point and show that they are a real threat into the post season.  Look for Tennessee to play hard in the trenches since they know Collins isn’t good enough to beat this team by himself.

Giants to beat the Panthers – Like I have already said Carolina are a much better team at home.  So since this game is in New Jersey then a home win is more likely. New York are another team that would like to stop this run of 2 defeats.

Here are the rest of the games.

Colts to beat the Jags – Please it is the Jags they are playing.

Ravens to beat the Cowboys – Baltimore defence is nearly as good as the Steelers.

Browns to beat the Bengals – No idea really so I’m going with the home team.

Saints to beat the Lions – 0 -16 is still on!

Pats to beat the Cardinals – Arizona can’t travel.

49ers to beat the Rams – Does anyone even care about this game?

Chiefs to beat the Dolphins – The Chiefs must finish at least one game this season strongly.

Bucs to beat the Chargers – Tampa finally finish off San Diego’s playoff dream. Bet this team is happy they sacked Marty now.

Broncos to beat the Bills – Too poor teams but somehow the Broncos are a divisional winner.

Seahawks to beat the Jets – Jets have been looking poorer each week and losing this game might lose them the division.

Texans to beat the Raiders – Houston are playing the Raiders mind.

Falcons to beat the Vikings – Should be a good running game so I’m taking the better backing my opinion, Michael Turner.  Plus I have a soft spot for Atlanta at the moment.

Eagles to beat the Redskins – The Redskins are that bad now.  Did they really beat the Cowboys and Eagles away two weeks in a row?

Bears to beat the Packers – Packers D is just that bad.

Bears to beat the Saints  - Chicago at home should be too strong for the Saints but with Brees under centre you never know what can happen.

Falcons to beat the Bucs – Matt Ryan is having a great season and so is Michael Turner (possible MVP) plus in this division home field advantage seems to be very important.

Redskins to beat the Bengals – Even a Washington team in the middle of a slump can surely beat the Bengals.

Titans to beat the Texans – The Titans to win this and with other results maybe going their way they might have home field advantage locked up for the playoffs.

Packers to beat the Jaguars – This is the hardest game to predict since both teams are really poor at the moment.  More surprising is that both teams defence is struggling.

Dolphins to beat the 49ers – Miami will continue to win and will continue to put pressure on the Jets and the Pats.

Rams to beat the Seahawks – Two poor teams so I’m simply going with the home team here.

Jets to beat the Bills – The Bills are struggling and the Jets must win so they can control their own destiny.

Chiefs to beat the Chargers – See the comment for the Rams game.

Colts to beat the Lions – Please everyone can beat the Lions can’t they.

Cardinals to beat the Vikings – Warner and his men seem unstoppable at home and so the fact this game is in the desert means they win.

Ravens to beat the Steelers – Tough game to call but I think that the Ravens have a point to prove here.  Don’t look for two many points with two great defences on show.

Panthers to beat the Broncos – Carolina should be good enough to beat a poor Broncos team with no running backs.

Pats to beat the Raiders – Pats to win because they playing the Raiders and need to win to have any chance of winning the division.

Giants to beat the Cowboys – The Giants haven’t lost two games in a row for ages or it simply seems like ages.

Eagles to beat the Browns – Philly should take care of a team that simply packed up early last week versus the Titans.

Week 14 Review Washington showed again that they can’t mix it with any of the big boys that have a good defence. Giants, Ravens and Steelers have all made Jason Campbell and the Redskins offence look very ordinary. Not saying these teams haven’t done this to a lot of teams this season but if Jim Zorn and his team want to be considered a playoff team they need to win at least 1 or 2 of these 4 games. The Cowboys have also put themselves in a difficult situation by losing to the Steelers and really know need to win out to have any chance of getting into the playoffs. This isn’t going to be an easy task since they have the Giants, Ravens and Eagles in their last 3 games. In fact looking at the schedule the NFC playoff picture is so confused since have the teams in the hunt play each other. In the AFC the same can be said, since the Dolphins and Jets play each other and so only one of them can make 11 wins and I’m afraid that 10 will probably not get you into the playoffs since the Colts and the Ravens have a great chance to get 11 wins in the bag and neither of them are likely to win their division. The Colts in fact have already lost their division to the Titans. The Titans in fact deserve extra special credit since they have sealed up their division and have a great chance of getting home field advantage through out the playoffs. In the game on Sunday it was sad to see the Cleveland players throwing in the towel so early. The last couple of touchdown runs were a disaster in terms of effort and commitment from the Browns. Finally the Panthers had an impressive win on Monday night running all over a Tampa Bay defence that had looked impressive this season.

Quick post for tonight’s game

Raiders to beat the Chargers - The Chargers are just so poor at the moment.
